Regner Ice Rink is CLOSED for the season. Update 2/26/2021: Ice skating is not recommended at this time due to recent warm temperatures and thawing ice. There is standing surface water with obvious thinning of the ice. For your safety, please do not attempt to skate on Regner Park Ice Rink! Warming house is also CLOSED for the season .

The City of Sterling Heights will issue full credits or refunds to non-residents if the Parks and Recreation Department cancels skating sessions prior to the scheduled time due to warm temperatures or severe weather. Ice skating in Central Park is a perfect day or nighttime activity to do with friends, family or even a date. So grab your skates (or rent some) and enjoy! There are two main ice-skating rinks in Central Park, each with skate & locker rentals available - Wollman Rink and Lasker Rink.

Volunteers flood the natural ice rink every night at 9 p.m. (weather permitting) during the skating season, typically January and February. Tanger Ice Rink is conveniently located a short distance from the Deer Park LIRR Train Station. Purchase the Tanger Deer Park package at open ticket offices and ticket machines (gray or blue). The package includes rail fare to Deer Park station, where you can board the Tanger Outlet Shuttle for a short ride to the center.
